What was your first pokemon game?

What the title says. State your first pokemon game. How did you think it was? What were your pokes like? Did you understand what to do?

My first Pokemon game was Pokemon Red and I thought it was great and my Pokemon were the greatest because you barely had to train them to make them strong.

mine was crystal, id been watching the episodes and movies so i thought i might try the games

Cool, my first game was pokemon gold. I bought it used. I leveled up a lot of my pokes to 100 and it took forever. My favorite pokemon was snorlax with thunderbolt, ice beam, flamethrower, and return. It was so beastly and all the pokes that had the the elemental beams i put on them. I thought it was the best combination ever, but now i know. I loved to battle the trainer red(?) dude that had pokes over 80. He disapperared and never came back again though . I figured out about the storage box thing and i was like "woah" when i saw all the cool pokemon that were in it already.

Mine was Pokemon Ruby. I loved the the way you can go around and the suspense from catching Kyogre and Groudon.

Pokemon Blue.

First Pokemon was Balbasaur.

Mine was blue as well, my starter was squirtle.

Pokemon Red. I had no idea what to do, so before I even had my first badge, I already had a Blastoise. But I reset the game and I got a Chamander that I never used. The team that I used was Farfetch'd, Nidoqueen, Zapdos, and others that I cannot remember.

I must have started playing pokemon later than everyone else. I think it was like 7 years ago maybe?

Lol, it took me 10 minutes to figure out how to get out of the very first house in Blue version.

How was I supposed to know that weird rectangle meant door?

Because it was a door mat?

Most older RPGs have a doormat to indicate a door.

My first Pokémon game was Yellow version, I got it off my cousins because they gave up on Pokémon when the middle of the 3 turned 13.

My first Pokemon game was of course yellow, my starter pokemon were Charmander and Pikachu (You get Pikachu as the first pokemon, then choose a starter). I always choose the fire starter except for in Diamond, where I chose Empoleon instead of Infernape.

i did that straight away when i got red but it took me half an hour to figure out i have to go to a shop in viridian city(to get the parcel for oak)
