Retiring from pokemon Empty Retiring from pokemon

Post by zoobzor Mon Aug 18, 2008 11:51 pm

Hey guys. This the "real" zoobzor speaking now lol. I know that everyone's impression of me is that of an immature kid who talks in 3rd person and announces his arrival everytime he enters the chatbox. But that was just a facade that I put on to "try" to fit in with people who play this game.

In reality I'm actually 22 years old, and I am about to enter a grueling program for Physician Assistant, and I must abandon my social life and focus ahead on my career. I was actually a pre-med student who had a straight road to med school but I blew it when I go too cocky (failed a class) and now I'm trying to patch up my life by going for physician assistant and hopefully trying to get back to med school in the future.

That being said I must sorrowfully retire from playing pokemon, and frankly, I think I'm a bit too old for it anyway. You guys were great, and I definitely enjoyed my time here with all the people I met within this community.

Thank You

22 isn't that old, you're just a little bit older than me (20).

As for thinking you where a child, your grammar was constructed way too well for you to be any younger than 17 ish (I thought you where between 17 and 20 to be honest).

As for being too old for a game, IMO anyone who favours the age rating of a game over the gameplay the game has to offer is one of the worst types of n00b.

The best brawler in my state is also a med student who plays pokemon (not competitively) though I'm not sure of his age.

Either way, you're welcome to come back when you have some free time and/ or when you finish your coarse.

It's been a nice run with you over these months and we were always cool with you.But then again, you shouldn't worry. If there's something you need to do for the benefit of your career and for yourself,it's ok.Sometimes we all make sacrifices as a way to move on.But anyways, take care Zoobzor, and I wish you to be what you truly want to be later on. = )

I find it odd that anyone would assume you'd have to act like an immature kid to "fit in" with people who play Pokemon.

Anyway, good luck on the road ahead.

I know alot of people who play pokemon around that age, at the end its having fun, you don't need to be a certain age to have fun.

Like everyone said it was great having you here, i wish you the best in your future and good luck with whatever you got to do.
