Me and IV's and EV's

I just spent about 3 hours reasearching, and experimenting with this stuff.


I have to tell you, I don't know how you kids do it.


That stuff really crushes my Morale, I almost want to stop raising pokemon all together because of how complicated and Luck/time consuming it all is.


Guess I'm not really discussing a strategy, more so just ranting.

Well, if a pokemon isn't EV trained, it probably won't stand a chance against anything that is. It takes time and patience, but once you get in the hang of it, it's really not so difficult.

IVs take a long time to breed granted, however EVs and Nature don't take long as long as you prepared yourself.

If you have enough dittos to have one with every nature you'll have a 50% chance to get a baby with the Ditto's nature (just need it to hold an Everstone).

As for EV training, with the Power Items and Pokerus you'll need to beat around 53 weak opponents from start to end.

Heres some pointers you have to take time to make it fast although it sounds complicated I will tell you what I have done to make it quicker. I caught a ditto of every useful nature like calm adament etc. so when begging breeding I can give it an everestone and make it 50% chance of the nature I want also you should catch a pokemon with flame body to make eggs hatch faster. As for EV's you should either get a macho brace (much easier) or power items (takes time to get bp but can trade and is more effective then macho brace), pokeRuS, and also use 10 vitamins like protein. As for raising you shoud definatly get a lucky egg and trade your pokemon to another game when raising if possible. Although obtaing this stuff does take a long time it can cut the rest of the time on pokemon you raise by half.

No, not for the likelehood of the Ditto's nature. You need to make the Ditto hold an Everstone to have a 50% chance of the Breeded Pokemon's nature being the same as Ditto's.
