Pocket Monster: The Origin

I'm not talking about Ash and his friends anime, I'm talking about a new anime featuring Red and Green from the very first game. It starts October 2nd. The current page is in Japanese, but if you have a translator or using Google Chrome, you can read up on some info on it.

I think they announced it was a special broadcast. So 1 episode to fill all the cool stuff they could do, I just think this is just something to pull in people that haven't played Pokemon in awhile, trying to get them into Picking up Pokemon XY (it's not like Pokemon X, & ALL the LE 3DS XL systems haven't sold out). It's cool but not as cool as we're thinking probably.

I rather it be a foreshadowing of Pokemon Virtual Console games coming out. Time hasn't been particular good with the batteries. It's not like they have anything to really lose, I don't doubt putting out Red & Blue again won't net them another 10 - 15 million copies, if not more with the lower price point.

Just watched the first episode of this, it's a decent show so far.

but I sure don't remember Fuji giving Red something other than the Poke Flute, and this show has been pretty accurate with the games so far.

It's pretty good, I like how he rotates his team and they show a lot of different Pokemon. Plus the battles are so much better than the main series, things get destroyed. Overall it's just too little if only it was a whole series.
