The Gym Leader Tournament

~The 6th Official WWPL tournament is a 16-man tournament to decide the site's gym leaders.

~everyone who makes it through the first round automatically becomes a gym leader

~from then on, the remaining battles will be to decide who gets to be the 8th and final gym leader

~sign-ups will be held on this thread, we will be using ghost42's tier idea for this tournament:

~Each level of pokemon has a set level of points and there is a limit to the amount of points each team can have.

The points system will look like this:

Limit of 100 points.

Ubers: 40 points each.
Over Used: 20 points each.
Border Line: 15 points each.
Moderately Used: 10 points each
Under Used: 5 points each.
Never Used: 0 points each.


With this set up you could have two Ubers (2 x 40 points [80 points]), an Over Used (1 x 20 points [20 points {100 points total}]) and three Never used pokemon (3 x 0 points [0 points {100 points total}]) obviously a team like this will be based around the Ubers and Over Used pokemon.

how much time do we get to breed and EV train a team?

well, this tournament is probably going to take off next weekend at the earliest, and btw, welcome to wwpl, and try not to double post

The only problem with this is that teir list has a sixth tier (Moderately-Used) between BL and UU so maybe OU at 25 points, BL at 15, MU at 10 and UU at 5?



I would also like to recomend both players tell Latiosmaster47 what pokemon they are using before each round to prevent cheating/ confusion from the rules (and to prevent a Wobuffet Vs Wobuffet match).


I would like to enter but I'm not sure if I'll have my team by then.

As far as tournament specific-rules, we will be using all standard wwpl rules--no hacks, no duplicate items, no duplicate same-species pokemon, and of course, no changing teams or moves in the middle of the tournament.

as far as checking teams, hypergamer and savageracer will be the ones who you will need to contact in order to enter the tournament

@ghost I'm sure the collectors here would be happy to breed you a team for the tournament, and since we're using your rules, I'll leave the moderately-used decision up to you (the points system you have now sounds good, maybe just keep OU at 20 tho to make it even)

Can you get me a male Bibarel with Stealth Rock (to use as a father for another pokemon)?

I may not be able to complete my team on time mainly because I don't have the National Dex yet (I don't have all the gym badges either >_>).

I have an idea:

We can hold a Gym Leader tournament once every quarter (three months) this will help keep the Gym Leaders sharp and give other members a chance to become one (also, the way things are going [ie the life I downloaded] I doubt I'll have my team ready on time, maybe a team, but not the one I planned).

i'll take that into serious consideration, it sounds like a great way to keep the league up, and with the current recruiting going well, we should have a steady influx of members to fill the spots.

and contact dominic or vegeta if you need a pkmn bred for your team
