It's an it.... There are no reasons to believe that it is either. It doesn't exactly say much and its voice is childish as in it's hard to tell. So it could be either one you want to say it is.

I believe Kirby is a girl, because he/she's voice is girlish, and her moves are girlish, therefor, imo, Kirby is in fact, a girl.
