Ideas for new Tournaments

One option we can do is to invite members to our site.Problem is,like most newbies,when they come over to WWPL for a period of time and leave,sometimes they either forget about the site or never return when they know about it,thus,making it almost virtually impossible to run tournaments and waste many members' precious time of setting things up for newbies.Hopefully if we do invite others,maybe they can come frequently and accomplish the tournaments in time.

Why don't we have a tournament where you have to win 3/5 matches to move to the 2nd round, 2/3 to the third round, and so on and so forth until you can only do a single elimination match. This will depend on the people who enter.

well how bout this a tournament (brawl) ; its a team one tho and the last team tht gets to the last match vs each other, u can call its a betrayel tournament of such, and if u think about the people who would match up with each other the end results r endless so think about it

How about a 1 type only tournament (Ex: Water, Psychic teams, Ice/Psychic will not count.) , this would be perfect in case someone wants a challenge without worrying about Critical Hits, Super Effective attacks, etc.

Many pokemon would be repeated if it were single types (as in solely ice type and not ice/psychic as you say) and aside the fact, it would be hard for people to properly train a lot of the same time pokemon for that time. IMO

MVP, you'd still have to worry about critical hits. It doesnt matter the typing (as long as the move hits) there is a possibility of having a critical hit. Besides, like Cyro said, many teams would have the same exact pokemon since most OU pokemon are two typed.

how about a shoddy tournament?

I don't think anyone uses Shoddy here, but that's not a bad idea. Anyway, we could do a Guitar Hero: On Tour tournament, whoever scores the best wins.

If/ when WWPL gets its own Shoddy Server we'll definitely have Shoddy tournaments.

I'll see if I can upload Shoddy on to my personal host sometime in the future, if that works we'll be in business.

It's a program that is the same thing as Pokemon, just online play and it's much easier.

i have just realised that for some people like me that dont have wifi but have the internet being in the winners tournemant would be very hard so i suggest that they get an extra prize(like more candy) if they win and can't participate in the tournemant
