Ideas for new Tournaments

everyone would pikc fire types because they beat the grass and ice types lol. how about a breeding tournament?

only pokemon basic pokemon, they must have evolved forms and they must be level 1 (although i think itd be better if they could be level 10 since stats of pokemons are all even at level 1 basicly). Banned moves would be dragon rage an sonic boom

Save The Queen:


Each trainer has one Uber pokemon (an Emperor) or two Over Used pokemon (King & Queen) as a/the Royal pokemon and all others must be BL or lower.

The idea of this is to knock out you opponent's Royal pokemon.
Once a player's Royal pokemon has been defeated that player loses (ie the Emperor is like the King in chess, defeat your opponent's Emperor to win).


Banned moves: Baton Pass (to prevent Calm Mind/ Swords Dance > BP > Emperor > Sweep type combo/ win).

Id call it chess tournament then. also, would the queen AND king have to die if two OU pokemon are used? or just one

Both, however you have given me another idea:

Chess Tournament:

Each team uses one pokemon from each tier (one Uber [King], one OU [Queen], one BL [Knight] etc) and you gain points based on what pokemon you beat in 20 turns (each player has 10 turns) combined with the pokemon you still have.

Ex: If we base the points on the GLT:
Once the battle is over if your opponent's Uber has been defeted and yours isn't you will gain 80 points (40 for defeting your opponent's and 40 for yours still being alive) do teh same with the other pokemon and the totals will determin the winner.

Banned moves: Baton Pass (same reason as the first).

ok there should be the small pokemon tournament.pokemon that are are exactly 5 feet or less are allowed in the tourney.pokemon that are 5 feet and 1 inch and up are not allowed.legends and ubers are allowed.same pokemon and items and not allowed.hacks(of course)will be unacceptable.that MIGHT be it

sparks ideas:
Heavyweight contest: only pokemon considered "heavy" by the pokemon site can be entered.
Middleweight contest: only pokemon considered "medium" by the pokemon site can be entered.
Light weight contest: only pokemon considered "light" by the pokemon site can be entered.

Sudden Death:

Rules:
6 on 6.
1 Uber allowed.
When one pokemon faints that trainer will lose (hence Sudden Death).
Banned moves: 1HKO attacks (Horn-Drill, Fissure etc), Self fainting moves (Explosion, Self-destruct etc), Accuracy modification moves (Double-Team, Sand Attack etc) and moves/ abilitys that prevent switching (Mean-Look, Arena-Trap etc).

how bout a birth day tourney on every members b-day all pkmn r allowed

what about a double battle with all pokemons allowed
ofcoarse no hacks or hacked stats pokemon

Normal Tournament:
~Everybody must have normal typed pokemon (no dual-typed)
~All attacking (physical and non-physical) must be normal typed.
~Any "other" type moves can be any type (rest which is psychic is allowed)

This battle will be 6 pokemon, single, and levels chosen by the 2 battlers (you both must accept either 50 all, 100 all or Free Battle.)

There will probably be room for 8 people but if many like this, 16 slots may be made.

umm wut bout dragon and fightin moves shouldnt be allowed

Element Tournement:
Everybody must use Empedocles (more commonly known as Aristotle's 4 elements as types.
Only these types are permitted:
Flying - air
Water - water
Fire - fire
Ground (could be replaced by rock or grass or any of all three types can be entered.) - earth

Only 4 pokemon are allowed, 1 of each element.

i have two ideas

the sp. atk. tourney: u cannot use physical attacks, only sp. attacks and other moves like substitute, string shot, thunder wave, u know what i mean.

or the power tourney: only attacking moves allowed, physical or special, no stealth rock, no protect, no swords dance, no toxic, only attacking moves

power tourney would make choice band and scarf and the other one get used a bit more, as those are only good on pure attackers anyways ;-)

The Choice of Three.



Three on three tournament, no restrictions to pokemon.
Each of your pokemon will have a Choice item (1 choice band, 1 choice specks and 1 choice scarf), you cannot have a pokemon with no items.

NOTE: switching the pokemon out will allow you to use a different move with that pokemon if it has a choice item (eg: Mr.Mime has Choice Specks and uses Psychic, on the next turn Mr.Mime switches then later on in the match, if it comes back, it will be able to use moves other than Psychic).

I really like this one. would open up a bunch of possibilities and it evens the playing field well.
