Ideas for new Tournaments

this should be a gud tourney but i need to get the choice items hmm maybe i might join but wouldnt kno yet

just a team tourney for two to form a team, like a multi but in sepparate ways tournament, no ubbers, like battle tower rules no multiple items, anyway everybody knows how it goes...

The five Star Tournament:




Rules:

This will be based on five one on one duels per opponent, first person to win
three duels will win the match.

You can use each of your pokemon only once against each opponent (Ie if
your Metagross beats/ loses against one of your opponents pokemon you
can not use it again until your next opponent).

No Ubers.

You may use only one of each type of pokemon (eg: can't have a second
Metagross).

One of each item (eg: can't use two leftovers).

You may have a maximum of eight pokemon to choose from
(these pokemon and there items must be chosen before the tournament
starts).

Banned moves: Explosion, Self-destruct.





If you're confused about this tournament's custom rules, basically you
choose 5 - 8 pokemon before the tournament starts.

When the tournament starts you will use 1 pokemon against one of your
opponent's pokemon.

Once a victor has been decided you will choose one of your remaining
pokemon (ie one of the 8 you haven't used against your opponent yet) to
fight you opponents next pokemon.

First to win three times will be declared the winner.

how about a type tornament were you get to use 6 pkmn with the same type example: water type- water, water/ground, water/flying and so on rules: -no leg. ~ must stick with same pkmn started with ~ the pkmn got to have same first type example: water type- totodile water, psyduck water. and not poliwag water, omanyte rock/water

ok well this isnt so much of a tournament as it is a league. i was thinking of kinda doing a yugioh battle city reinactment. everyone starts off with a trainer card. anyone can battle anyone and if you are challenged you must accept. if you lose your battle then you must "give" your trainer card to your opponent and they continue on. then the top 6 trainers go on into the finals where latios can create brackets.
note : you may only gain one trainer card. if you already got your trainer card please inform latios about it and the score of the battle. this means that the 6 advancing trainers will have 2 trainer cards each and no trainer can battle more than once until the final 6 tournament.

rules:
- level 100 single battles
- any pokemon goes except for arceus, darkrai, shaymin, stat hacks, move hacks, ability hacks, generated pokemon or anything else that interfears with wwpl rules.
- no duplicate items ect..
- no switching pokemon teams

latios if you have anything to add regarding the rules that i may have missed or incorrectly stated you may do me the favor and add that into my post for me ^_^.

also do not worry. if you lose you will not be taken to the shadow realm and there are no egyptian god cards, creepy looking guys with gold rods (dom/marik) and no spikey purple yellow black hair allowed.

The Counter Tournament.
How well can you counter your opponent's pokemon?



This tournament will have four (4) battles per opponent, the winner will be based on the second, third and fourth battles.
The first will be a preliminary battle so people can scope there opponents starting pokemon.

You will start out with six (6) starter pokemon, these pokemon must be the first six you use against each opponent.

In each battle you will change two (2) of the pokemon your starting pokemon with pokemon in your inventory, you can

i like the idea but, i think this site needs a gym leader tournament quickly cuz many challengers have been coming to the site and there are not enough gym leader. I like ur idea but i suggest that we do a gym leader tournament first.

The Inspiration Tournament
I personally think that too many people use the same old strategies with the same old pokemon. So how about testing people's raw ability to make a team with 3 commonly looked over pokemon and 3 of their own? Give em some inspiration and see what they make
Pokemon 1, choose from: Clefable, Victreebel, Tentacruel, Kabutops, Kangaskahn, or Hypno.
Pokemon 2, choose from: Bellossem, Politoed, Granbull, Quagsire, or Xatu.
Pokemon 3, choose from: Pelipper, Masquerain, Exploud, Delcatty, Medicham, or Crawdunt.
Pokemon 4, 5 and 6 are yours to choose.

I don't know if i picked the right pokemon to choose from, but I love the idea.

A all UU Pokemon Tournament for Newbies only. BTW Flareon is pwnage UU. My favorite UU. If it was not only for newbies I would bring him. But a UU Newbie Pokemon Tournament would be awesome. It shall be called: Nuubie PKMN Tourney. Catchy. |(: Please consider this for a future tournament.

I say when the tier list becomes finished we should have a UU/BL tournament.

I also agree on this.Imo I think it's good practice for newbies to start understanding the basics of competitive battling when they start from the bottom up such as a tourney like this one.
